USSABC, Virginia Host Series of
Business Opportunities Programs

As part of its mission to develop and expand the strategic business alliance between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) organized a series of upcoming programs in collaboration with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP). Pennsylvania International Week

On September 15-26, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) will be attending Pennsylvania International Week (PIW), a ten-day event organized by Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development. Since forming a partnership in 2006, the Business Council has served as Pennsylvania’s Authorized Trade Representative for Saudi Arabia. In that role, the USSABC joins representatives of 20 other countries to meet one-on-one with Pennsylvania companies and provide market intelligence, partner and distributor candidates, market entry and expansion strategies, and on-the-ground assistance.  More...
 

IMF Executive Board Concludes 2014

On July 11, 2014, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) concluded the Article IV consultation with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has been one of the best performing G20 economies in recent years, and has supported the global economy through its stabilizing role in the global oil market. Secretary of State Kerry Meets with
King Abdullah in Saudi Arabia

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on June 27, 2014 to meet with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to discuss the latest developments in the region, the bilateral U.S.-Saudi relationship, and areas of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by H.R.H. Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense; H.R.H. Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Crown Prince and Second Deputy Prime Minister; H.R.H. Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs; as well as H.E. USSABC Organizes Exclusive Networking
Event with Top SABIC Executives in Houston

On June 18, 2014, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) organized an exclusive networking program and presentation in Houston, Texas, with the visiting delegation of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) executives, including Eng. Mohamed Al-Mady, SABIC Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and USSABC Co-Chairman, and senior executive vice presidents. More than 100 top-level executives attended the program, as it served to bring together manufacturers and suppliers of petrochemicals and plastics to discuss opportunities in the Saudi downstream chemicals sector. Business Council Leads Delegation of
Saudi Entrepreneurs to the U.S.

On June 9-14, 2014, the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council (USSABC) led the fourth visit of Saudi entrepreneurs from the Prince Salman Youth Center to the U.S.  The delegates visited Chicago, Illinois and San Francisco, California to learn about start-up activity and entrepreneurship academic programs and visit incubators, renowned entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and the headquarters of major U.S. corporations. Previous programs have visited Fort Worth and Houston, Texas, New York City, New York, Boston, Massachusetts, Los Angeles, California, and Washington, D.C. Delegates have met with organizations such as Google, Inc, Oracle Corporation, Texas Medical Center, Trump Organization, Columbia Pictures, Khan Academy, LinkedIn Corporation, The Carlyle Group, KKR, and Harvard University, among others.
