ABB Installs Green Technology in Waseel Tower
| July 28, 2010 – ABB will implement KNX smart building technology in the 21-story Waseel Tower, located in the financial district of Riyadh. The environmentally friendly technology allows tenants to control all the applications inside their offices, including lighting, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning, as well as room access and shading. This ability to control office applications will reduce power consumption by as much as 30 percent, according to ABB. Consolidated Brothers Company, the owner of Waseel Tower, noted that since energy costs account for 30 percent of operational costs, the increased energy efficiency will position them as a leader amongst other building owners in Riyadh. |
