Sikorsky to Supply Helicopters to Saudi Ministry
July 21, 2010 – U.S.-based Sikorsky announced that it will supply 12 S-76D helicopters to the Saudi Ministry of Interior. The new S-76D helicopters are the latest model in Sikorsky’s line and include advanced avionics and autopilot systems, as well as increased carrying capacity and extended range in comparison to aircraft currently fielded by the company. The Ministry will use the aircraft to perform security, transport, and other missions inside the Kingdom. Sikorsky plans to begin delivery of the helicopters in early 2012.
