SABB Wins IFC Award
May 23, 2010 – SABB was named “The Most Active Confirming Bank in the MENA Region,” becoming the first bank in the Kingdom to win one of the most prestigious awards from the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC). The award recognizes the bank’s commitment to the IFC’s program to support trade flows between developing countries. Since June 2009, the IFC has granted SABB more than 275 trade finance guarantees that helped support a number of businesses in sectors such as chemicals, plastics, and steel import products from Saudi Arabia, boosting trade flows.
