Bechtel Chosen to Oversee Saudi Arabia's National Project Management Organization

February 22, 2017 – Bechtel was awarded a contract by the Saudi government to run the new National Project Management Organization (NPMO). The NPMO, or “Mashroat,” was created last year as part of the larger Vision 2030 effort to increase oversight and transparency in Saudi Arabia. The organization will help government agencies with infrastructure project delivery and improve the Kingdom’s capital expenditure program. Bechtel, one of the world’s leading construction and engineering companies, has worked on many of Saudi Arabia’s most important projects, including the Jubail and Ras Al Khair industrial cities, King Fahd and King Khalid airports, Ras Al Khair aluminum smelter, and currently the Riyadh Metro. The company plans to train Saudis and create knowledge management solutions for the NPMO.
