IBM Wins Mobily IT Work
August 6, 2012 – IBM has been awarded a $280 million (SR1.05 billion) contract by Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) to manage the Saudi telecommunications company’s information technology operations over the next five years. Mobily is the second largest telecommunications operator in Saudi Arabia, with a market value of $12.3 billion (SR46.13 billion). The agreement with IBM is aimed at providing Mobily with better access to new technologies and expertise in the telecommunications field. As part of the deal, Mobily and IBM will collaborate on future innovation with the help of IBM Research.
