SABIC First to Ship Ethanolamines and Ethoxylates Chemicals
June 4, 2012 – The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has shipped its first batch of ethanolamines and ethoxylates from its manufacturing plant in Jubail, making Saudi Arabia the first country in the Middle East to produce and ship these products. This also marks a milestone in the development of the Kingdom’s downstream petrochemicals industry. Ethanolamines are used in consumer products, chemical intermediates, and in industrial processes. Ethoxylates are used in consumer products such as detergents, cleaning products, and personal care products. Ethoxylates are also used in agriculture, oilfield chemicals and lubricants, and textile auxiliaries.
